Dreaming of the spring

Although, we are a little off yet, from the spring season. A girl can still dream away and plan her garden for the coming year. After going to Formex and seeing all the lovely spring products, you can not but help to jump a little ahead. I am trying to visualize where to hang the hammock, where the flowers and herbs will go and what the landscape will be like after another long winter.

If I close my eyes long enough, I can almost see the green. But for now, here is some wishful thinking.

P.S. It is never to early to plan ahead.
A pink green house.
I would like one of these, with a side of lemonade.
Monet's House.
Monet's garden in Giverny.
Very cool.

Swatch portraits

Here is a winter art project for you - Swatch Portraits. I thought this picture was amazing to look at and then I noticed there was a link to the directions to make them. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so create as you wish.

Su Casa Boutique - Remodeling

As you may or may not know, we are currently remodeling the Su Casa boutique with hopes to be done mid-February.  We are still open but constantly moving things around, as products come and go.

I am looking for some help with inspiration. If you have any thoughts please send it my way. You can stop by the store, add comments or send me an email at I would appreciate any help.

Here are some ideas I found. At this point, I could go in any direction. I am thinking lots of color and chandeliers, for today, anyways.

Feeling blue

Like the changing of moods, I crave different colors around me in my enviornment. Right now, I just can't get enough of this gorgeous the soft blues, colored glass, with a splash of red.

I think I might stop by the paint store on the way home. ;)

We can always paint one of the beautiful mirrors from House Doctor.

Wooden shelf from House Doctor.

Cocktail glasses from Rice, Villa Collection and House Doctor.

Brunches on Sundays

A favorite pastime of mine, is to enjoy a long Sunday brunch with a newspaper or magazine in hand, sipping coffee. In the month of January, I think I need most, something a little marvelous to end off the week. To me, that is a relaxing brunch. Here are some inspirational thoughts from Su Casa to help make this come true.

Hanging hearts

We all have old vacation maps laying around in which never get used. Here is a bright idea in creating the new with the old. Another good way to recycle. However, if you are not so crafty, you will be able to purchse them online at an American website called

Hearts made of maps.

Here is some food for thought. Recyling old stuff to make it new again.

The good old fashion book cover.
Perfect for the summer house.
Mobile made of hearts.
Soda bottles renewed.
Love these recycled wooden blocks.
Recycled wrapped papers- old and new mixed together.
Recycled rolling table by House Doctor. Our favorite.
